With the growing emphasis on health and wellness, the September 2018 drinking trends reveal a rise in the number of better-for-you drink options. Instead of sodas and sugary juices, consumers are increasingly looking for drinks that are both nutritious and thirst-quenching.

On the one hand, sparkling water continues to soar as a healthy alternative to soda. One of the newest sparkling water brands vying for self space includes Dash Water, which combines British sparkling water with “wonky-looking” produce that would otherwise end up in the trash.

The September 2018 drinking trends also show that alcohol brands are hopping aboard the better-for-you train with innovative new products. For instance, Wild Blossom Cider is a low-alcohol, light cider that is meant to serve as an alternative to wine or champagne. Similarly, Hop Heart is a new beer that is packed with healthy vitamins such as fiber, calcium, iron, and magnesium, so that consumers aren’t just drinking empty calories.
